TWO EARS AND A TONGUE. ALWAYS LISTEN BEFORE YOU TALK.

Before she could say anything he had already slapped her twice.
"How dare you?" he said angrily.
"Do you know how stressful it was for me in the office today? Do you know how difficult it was for me to be in that heavy traffic for a hour before getting home? Do you know how much trouble I go through everyday just to get food on the table? Do you have any idea at all? Do you?" he complained bitterly.

"But I don't deserve this " she said. But the man interrupted "you are lazy, you lack respect and you are ungrateful ."
Tears flow down her cheeks uncontrollable as she tried to say a word.
"what do you have to say for yourself you stupid woman?"

Tears incessantly flowed from her eyes. She would have cried out her life if it was possible for her. She ran into the room and buried her face in between her hands and cried.

At about the same time their neighbour knocked at their door. At once the man allowed her in. "how is she feeling now?" the neighbour asked.

"what do you mean by how is she feeling now?" he asked in with surprise.
"you mean you didn't notice your wife,  or hasn't she told you anything?"
"She had fallen down from the stair in the afternoon. Thank God I was here when it happened, if not who knows what might have been next" she said.

With mouth wide opened he couldn't believe that moment of reality. "you mean she fell from the stairs?"
"yes! I called my husband and we rushed her to the clinic. " she said.
He still couldn't believe himself. He would have wished it was a dream and he will eventually wake up from his sleep.

He dragged his legs against the weight of the heavy wind caused by his disappointment as he went to the room. He carefully squat in front of his wife and with his hands he reached for her chin and carefully lifted her head.

"How could I?" He thought. "How could I have not noticed the plaster on her head? How could I have slapped her without thinking twice?" Blood mixed with tears dribbled down her face. The man had slapped her on the exact same spot of the wound making it bleed as if it was fresh.
He went on his knees and showed remorse for his nonchalance. "Am sorry dear, never in my life would I do anything to hurt you. I sincerely regret my actions. " he said.
The woman forgave him but she still sees the scars everytime she stays in front of a mirror. So how would she ever forget when the scars are apparent?

If only he had listen before talking or jumping into conclusions this wouldn't have happened. And so many of us still slap people to their faces. Although not as literally as this man.

We often time jump into conclusions, slaying people with our words and keeping their mouth shut at every opportunity.
Learn to listen to people, learn to share their hurts, learn to respect other people's ideas.

Two ears means listen twice and one tongue means talk just once.
