SEX IS NOT A SIN! SEE WHY...

In our contemporary world, sex has been misinterpreted, especially among the religious sects and because of our cultural background. Sex is more like a sacred word that must not be mentioned. Sex is not a sin may sound more like, "what is this guy saying?" to you. But you really need to know what sex is and why it was instituted. Only then can you appreciate the topic and see it as something you should talk about; because it is not a sin.

WHAT IS SEX

Sex is a deep and intense intercourse between a male and female,. (It is never otherwise!)
It was instituted by God himself. Although throughout the Bible the word was not mentioned but in Genesis 1:28, the Bible said ". . . Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it. . ." Am sure this commandment of God could not have been possible except there be sex. In several other places in the Bible it was confirmed as well. "Genesis  4:1 And Adam knew Eve his wife. . ." "Genesis  29:23 . . .and he went in unto her."

So therefore sex is a commandment given by God. It was set to be enjoyed by man. It was not God's intention that sex will become such a sacred word among us that we are scared to mention.

WHY WAS SEX INSTITUTED 

Sex was instituted to fulfil God's command in Genesis  1:28, ". . . Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it."

Sex was also instituted to be enjoyed this can be seen in the life of Solomon as he clearly depict this in his poems in the book of the Bible, The Songs of Solomon.

SEX CAN MAKE YOU SIN

This may be the most important aspect of this writing. What really makes sex to be a sin? Or let me put it this way, how can sex make you to sin? This is far the most important thing everyone needs to know. Sex becomes a sin when the wrong parties are involved.
Who are these wrong parties? 

• Unmarried couples. 
• Married individuals with someone who is not their wife or husband

√ when unmarried people indulge in sexual related activities it is called fornication. It is a consensual sexual intercourse between two persons not married to each other. It as a sin to God.

• Romans  1:29  "Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness. . ."
• 1 Corinthians  6:18 " Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body." 
• Galatians  5:19 " Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness," 

It is clear from these scriptures that God is against sex outside marriage. This is one way which sex becomes a sin.

√ when married individuals have sex with someone else other than their spouse it is called adultery. Adultery is sex between a married person and someone who is not that person's wife or husband. It is also a sin. The Bible also made it clear in several places like:

• Exodus 20:14  "Thou shalt not commit adultery."
• Matthew  19:18  ". . .Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, . . ."  
• 2 Peter  2:14  "Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; . . ." 
• Revelation  2:22  "Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds."

IS THERE A SOLUTION? 

Yes! There is hope for you even though you are long lost in sexual immorality. There is hope for you even if you are deep down in the sin of adultery and fornication. In the book of John chapter 8, there is a story of a woman caught in the very act of adultery. When Jesus was questioned about what should be done to her, his reply was very simple, John  8:7, ". . . He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her."

This same woman looked at Jesus, waiting to be condemned by the Holy saviour, but this is what he said, John  8:11, ". . .And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more."

You are not doomed! You are not condemned! Jesus did not come into this world to condemn it, John 3:17. He came into this world to save those who are lost. Peradventure you have not given your life to Christ, today will be a good day to make the decision.

Sex is not a disease that can be cured in the world. It can only be treated in the church.
